Much of the work the new Drag Strip Mode does is within the transmission. The new 10-speed automatic transmissions replaces the previous model’s 6-speed, and offers wide-ratio span and optimized gear spacing. This results in improved responsiveness and and performance. Additionally, an all-new electronic control system includes adaptive shift-scheduling algorithms to help ensure that the right gear is engaged at the right time, including capabilities to skip-shift and direct downshift.
